শেখ হাসিনা ওয়াজেদ (জন্ম: ২৮ সেপ্টেম্বর, ১৯৪৭) বাংলাদেশের বর্তমান প্রধানমন্ত্রী। তিনি বাংলাদেশের ১০ম জাতীয় সংসদের সরকারদলীয় প্রধান এবং বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের সভানেত্রী। বাংলাদেশের মহান স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের প্রধান নেতা ও বাংলাদেশ সরকারের প্রথম রাষ্ট্রপতি জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের কন্যা।

প্রারম্ভিক জীবন
শেখ হাসিনা ওয়াজেদ বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের কন্যা। তাঁর মাতার নাম বেগম ফজিলাতুননেসা। তিনি টুঙ্গিপাড়ায় জন্মগ্রহন করেন এবং বাল্যশিক্ষা সেখানেই নেন। ১৯৫৪ সাল থেকে তিনি ঢাকায় পরিবারের সাথে মোগলটুলির রজনীবোস লেনের বাড়িতে বসবাস শুরু করেন। পরে মিন্টো রোডের সরকারি বাসভবনে উঠেন। ১৯৫৬ সালে তিনি টিকাটুলির নারীশিক্ষা মন্দির বালিকা বিদ্যালয়ে ভর্তি হন। ১৯৬১ সালের ১ অক্টোবর ধানমন্ডির ৩২ নম্বরের বাড়িতে থাকা শুরু করেন। ১৯৭৫ সালের ১৫ আগস্ট এক সামরিক অভ্যুত্থানে তিনি ও তাঁর বোন শেখ রেহানা বাদে পরিবারের সকল সদস্যকে হত্যা করা হয়। বোনদ্বয় সেইসময় পড়াশোনার জন্য পশ্চিম জার্মানিতে অবস্থান করছিলেন। ১৯৬৫ সালে তিনি আজিমপুর বালিকা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় থেকে ম্যাট্রিক পাশ করেন। শেখ হাসিনা ১৯৭৩ সালে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে স্নাতক ডিগ্রি সম্পন্ন করেন। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে থাকা অবস্থায় ১৯৬৭ সালে ড. ওয়াজেদ মিয়ার সাথে তাঁর বিয়ে হয় এবং ওয়াজেদ মিয়া ৯ মে, ২০০৯ তারিখে মৃত্যুবরণ করেন। তাঁদের সংসারে সজীব ওয়াজেদ জয় (পুত্র) ও সায়মা ওয়াজেদ পুতুল (কন্যা) নামে দুই সন্তান রয়েছেন।
